Webinar on writing for research grant: “Fundamentals of writing an effective research grant”

The CDE conducted through online platform and session started on 10 am .resource person was Dr Riaz Abdullah, professor , department of oral pathology, KMCT dental college.

The purpose of this seminar is to give the participant information on how to write a research proposal to the funding agency so that he/she can get the desired budget. Key aspects were highlighted and practical tips were emphasized. As research budgets are being reduced by many funding agencies and more researchers are competing for it, it is becoming increasingly important to be able to write a grant proposal of high quality. He detailed about ICMR grant guideline for both postgraduates and interns . he emphasize more on differents grant options from Goverment and private organizations. He made more clarity on how to apply for different grants .

This Webinar emphasized basically the tips and tricks for successfully writing a Grants proposal to the staffs and PGs of KMCT Dental College. This was organised by the Dept. of Pedodontics, KMCT Dental College. A total of 54 participants actively attended the session including faculties and interns . session was really interactive and assignments were given after the session . certificate of participation was given to all participants . Session was well appreciated by participants .
